Dr. Neha Mishra
BIO
Dr. Neha Mishra is an Educator, Consultant, Lawyer & Author with 15 years of experience in industry and academia. Her research work focuses on intersectionality of law, human rights, gender, colorism and juvenile justice. Her writings explore the perceptions of caste, marginality, economic and cultural status specifically wrt Indians and South Asians. Dr. Mishra currently works as an Editor, Journal of Colorism Studies (JOCS). Dr. Mishra has previously worked as Director, School of Legal Studies, REVA University, India and as Associate Professor (Law) & Associate Dean at O.P. Jindal Global University in India, where the role involved administrative and strategic leadership, curriculum building, DEI hiring and institution building. She served as Jury member for 2024 YUVA 2.0 Prime Minister's pan India scheme for young authors under Ministry of Education, Government of India. Currently Dr. Mishra serves as Mentor for the same scheme.
She has also been engaged as resource person for Training workshops for Judges, as well as for Police officers and Prosecutors in India. Her work involves often collaborating with NGO's, government agencies, Juvenile justice boards and Magistrates for rehabilitation and reintegration for children who come in conflict with law and policy building measures.
She is an experienced Key-note speaker, Trainer, published Author, Editor and Reviewer for leading academic journals from OUP, Routledge, Sage, Penguin etc. Her extensive media engagement includes interviews in BBC, Asia Times, Times of India, TIME Magazine, E TV, APN News Channel in the area of colorism, Caste and gender.
